Bantam/Junior Program

For youth 12 - 18 years old

Start Date: Early November
Time: Saturdays, 10:00AM - 12:00PM

Our new Bantam/Junior program is led by qualified coaches to teach your teenagers the sport of curling. It includes on and off ice instruction to develop skills in rock throwing and sweeping, as well as the importance of each position and game strategy.

Don’t worry… it’s not all skills and drills. There will be lots of fun and games played!

What does my child need to wear?

The curling rink is meant to be cool, not cold, therefore layers are best. A good fleece as a top layer works perfectly. It is imperative that your child bring a clean pair of sneakers.

Beginning in 2017 helmets are recommended for all youths per direction of Canadian Curling Association.

How do I get involved as a parent?

We encourage all parents to stay and watch their child develop their curling skills throughout the season. If you have any questions, comments or suggestion, please let our coaches know!

Is there any fundraising involved?

We are very fortunate to have Tim Hortons as our official sponsor. So please support our local franchises as a way to thank Tim Hortons for their continued generosity! In our effort to focus on good communication, we will send home flyers as necessary to keep you informed about events coming up and so forth.

Who do I contact if I have a question or a concern?

Feel free to ask any of our coaches questions while you are at the curling club.

We hope that you and your child enjoy this upcoming curling season. Our program is based on fun and fitness and as you will soon discover, curling is a very social sport. You may even decide to give it a try yourselves…we always welcome new members!
